I am happy for solstice! Our sunset was at 4:03pm today. I bet that doesn't compare to some on here, (you, saskatchewanian?) but the short days were interesting to adapt to when I first moved here.

It must be a trick of the timezones but sunset was 4:33 here. Sunrise was 9:25

Took the morning off today, snapped another picture window pic.

Sean, how was the movie? I've been hearing that it's pretty average in the Australian sense of the word.

I'm going to go see it on either January 4th or 5th while I am In Prince Albert for some meetings. Those that I would go see it with down there seemed to think it was a waste of money but I might be able to convince them to give it a second shot.

It was ok.
Not brilliant, but ok.
I'm trying to avoid spoilers but you know how The Force Awakens was very similar to A New Hope?
Well I kinda feel they've gone the same way with The Last Jedi and The Empire Strikes Back.
I give it a 6/10.

I actually prefer going to see a film on my own.
My friends always get wigged out by this.

Do you yell at the screen? Holler warnings when your loved character is walking into danger? (I do sometimes ....)

A buddy just recruited me onto a competitive shuffleboard team.

Shuffleboard is the curling of warm climates.

GalaTheDog is nearly 12 years old now. She doesn't run to far in the warmer months, but has enjoyed off-leash time accompanying me on some longer uni rides (an hour or so on my 36").

That was 26-28 degrees. These below freezing temps are great for her. Unfortunately, today is 18 degrees, and my wife thinks it too cold for any longer than 20 minutes. Oh well .....

ERIC: What kind of booze do they serve at your curling club? How's the food there?

I have heard of Shuffleboard, but have never seen it played. Can you curve your shot around the opponents rocks? Do you have sweepers? I'm intrigued.

I don't currently have a curling team. I was going to put one together from my office but it fell apart when one blew out her knee, one got another job, and one has his kids every other week and was unsure how much he would be able to play. Generally beer would be the drink of choice at the curling clubs, And since it's Saskatchewan some flavour of Pilsner would be fitting.

It didn't get over -30˚C on boxing day and we postponed our rabbit hunt until the next day. It warmed up a few degrees on the 27th by which time the family had scattered so I went wandering around a couple rabbit bushes with my dad. we saw some tracks, a porcupine, a grouse, and got frosty beards, but no rabbits.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. 2nd christmas with my mom's side of the family is happing over the next two days. should be fun.
