That was cute, but it wasn't very funny. It should have been a lot shorter and more funny, like a David Letterman Top Ten list. Since it was, I assume, intended as a joke.
  • Of course the Mafia is cheaper than the State. They don't build infrastructure.
  • Mafia avoids war because it's bad for business? From what I understand, usually when mafias go to war it's over business.
  • Mafia doesn't have all those regulations? That's because they operate in the shadow of the State, filling in the gaps in and circumventing those regulations.
  • Mafia is honest? Maybe. But I still prefer having a contract.

And when the teacher left the room? We're not talking about the behavior of 5-year olds around adults, the point is when the adults leave. Or, as I've written about before on these forums, How many Kindergarteners does it take to pick up one juggling ball?

All of them.

Contrary to what MrBoogiejuice might tell you, anarchy simply means "without a ruler," so it encompasses many different types of stateless societies.
Almost - it means without rule which of course means without a ruler, but the anarchist tradition also looks wider than that to identify other forms of coercion and power in societies such as patriarchy, racism, nationalism and capitalism then seeks to build directly democratic structures through which to level out these heirarchies and organise production, distribution and consumption.

Simply ending the power of government is futile, and indeed dangerous, unless thought is given to what can replace its necessary functions and prevent even less accountable monopolies of power taking its place.

In the ratio of politics:humor, they didn't mind balancing heavy on the politics. That's politics for you.

Let me and Boogie write the book on how to keep the society egalitarian, start by taxing 100% of earnings once that person enters the top 1% of wage earners for the year.
