Oh well. :-( I was at Murrayfield with my wife and the outlaws for this match. Winning would have been nice, of course, but I was most impressed with the friendly and dignified atmosphere - alcohol was on sale and allowed in the stands, and the French and Scots fans were all mixed together - there was no trouble at all. Can't imagine that at an international football match.

We had a full cast from Asterix the Gaul in front of us. Obelix seemed to spend most of the match drinking Getafix's "magic" potion, and offering it to the Scots.

I saw the Asterix cast but didn't spot you & Vix behind them.

France were the only team that played well enough this weekend to look like winning the title. Ireland, Italy, Scotland and England (2nd half) were dire, Wales were barely better than average.

England impressed in the 1st half and should have had at least 1 or even 2 more tries on the board by half-time. They should have turned up for the second half, but fair play to the Ospreys, they did turn up for the second half - it took 20 years to come so I expect you anglophobes will make the most of it while you can. It is about time Wales put together a decent team for the RWC.

I will probably still watch next weekend, but if it is as bad a display of international rugby as last weekend I will probably go riding and miss the rest of the matches.

that reminds me when I played with the brassband during the matches:we had to improvise "scotland the brave" (though I don't know what the actual scot hymn is - as a matter of fact I dunno the other hymns either except "waltzing mathilda" <and "g'd save the queen" which we do not play "all you need is love" is better for "entente cordiale">).

Wales v Scotland at 2pm today.
Gloriously sunny day in Wales today.
Just enough time for a muni ride before kick-off.

Come on Wales!

Wales 30 - Scotland 15.
Far too many chances wasted by Wales, much in the same way England wasted chances against us last week.
And a dodgy decision about that Shane Williams try.
But a result is a result.
Well done lads.

this doesnt normally happen at European sporting events? At all the sporting events i've been to (mainly baseball and football) beer is sold, and allowed in the stands and there is no separation of fans, but then again there are usually mostly home-team fans present.

Football (Soccer) matches in Europe have zero mixing of supporters and no alcohol allowed. Rugby however remains watched by an honourable and appreciative audience.

Good result for Wales against Italy today.
We really opened up in the second half.

Ireland next.
Bring it on.

Tsk.
3 points down ending the first half.
We should have scored during those last ten minutes.
Cagey game.
