Roight, first off, whihc type of joint is it? I'm guessing if it's not obvious then it's a Pot joint. The easiest thing to do if you just want to remove the driveshafts to get the enigne out is to cut the tie that goes around the boot and slide the boot back. Now get in to the suspension for that side, crack the top steering joint and lean the hub outwards. The joint will slide apart, you can push the hub back in and secure it in place, with the end of the driveshaft now along side the joint instead of inside it. If you want to remove the entire thing from the engine ideally you should use the rover special tool. However i've had success using a combination of crow bars, breaker tips and screwdrivers. Basically you just lever between the gearbox casing and the joint itself, taking care not to damage the soft alloy housing. The joint is sitting on a splined protruding shaft with a circlip on it. Lever hard until it goes with a bang, it should slide easily off the rest of the way. Again you'll need to lean the hub out while you do this, to give the driveshaft somewhere to go when you pull it off. Hope that all helps. You can keep the engine, mine's in better nick, just drop me the entire turbo and manifold system and the oil pump and somewhere ive got a photo of the mini engine hung from the branch of a tree, real ghetto

Went up to Santa Pod on Sunday to run my car on the strip. Unfortunately we arrived too late and they were fully booked, so I didn't actually get to run my car.

Car Haulin' Trailer
Should've posted photos in this thread where appropriate.
So instead, I'll just post the link to the thread. The trailer is turning out very nicely. Can't wait to have it completed and available for use. Should be soon.
