Started Monday!

Hey everybody! I got my first Uni on Monday! I've been rocking it out ever since! It's my 4th day of practice and I can already do unassisted mounts, ride 50 yards up and downhill, and dismount gracefully!

Isn't that like skill level 1?

Anyways, I'm pumped! Any tips for a new beginner?

Wow! You guys are active!

Thanks for the motivation! I'm looking forward to rolling up all over the place.

As soon as I get comfortable with it, I'm gonna Uni to class, to work...everywhere!

I'll post pics and videos soon!

I miss riding to school... at a school like mine, you can't leave anything locked up outside or your tire(s) get slashed, or it just gets outright stolen.

I used to ride to school, but I took the Unicycle with me to my class...

Now I have Auto and Drafting, and I don't trust more than 80% of the Auto class... I bet they would steal it, or vandalize my Unicycle if I left it somewhere in the class. Plus I doubt my Auto teacher would let me bring it in his class, he's a real downer as far as teachers at my school are concerned...

I'd ride backwards up the pathway to the doors of the school and have all the gross smokers clear the way, cheering at me... now that I walk, they all stand in the way like usual and I have to either hold my breath or smell their disgusting smoke.

Hey jackdaniels, welcome to the forum. Your name is familiar to me, have we met before? Or, have I only met your spirit?

My spirit. Haha! I gotcha.

yeah, yeah. Well, my name is really John, but all my closest friends call me Jack.

Yeah, there is definitely a sense of togetherness here on this forum.

Oh, and about locking stuff outside...forget that. I'm talking...ride into the building, through the building, into class, use my uni as a chair and completely become one with the wheel.

That's my goal.

I'd do that... but the teachers at my school don't like it when you speed down the hall and swerve between people, apparently it's dangerous.
