After a long day of riding, my groin is all sore. Then the whole next day i cant ride cause im too sore, is this normal? Also, one time i went off a curb and my hand holding the seat smashed my balls and it hurt very badly. I just kind of knelt on the ground clutching my balls for like 5 min. Any tips?

lower the seat, grorin soreness is normal if you can try tilting your seat back so your weight is on your butt not your balls and when going off things just hold your seat stand up a little and whenyou land roll out and try to hit the seat softly... if anyone has anything to ad please do.... this is just what i have seen since I joined the forum.

Sounds like you've got chafing problems. Chafing is when your shorts / pants / underwear / saddle / whatever rub and irritate your skin. Your skin doesn't like that and gets sore. In extreme cases it can get infected or cause saddle sores.

You need to reduce the rubbing that causes the chafing. Avoid shorts that have seems in the crotch area. The seems will cause chafing.

The spandex style cycling shorts are the best way to minimize or eliminate chafing. The cycling shorts are tight fitting so they don't rub. Spandex style fabric is also slippery so it slides against your saddle instead of chafing your skin. There are also creams like Chamois BUTT'r that you rub liberally on the pad that is sewn in the cycling shorts. The cream further reduces rubbing and keeps the skin from getting irritated.

Spandex style cycling shorts also have an additional benefit in that they keep your dangly bits snug and in place so you don't sit on your balls. The cycling shorts need to be snug enough that they properly hold things in place. You also wear cycling shorts sans underwear. The shorts are worn next to the skin.

There are also special jock straps called suspensories that a few people use. You'll want a style that doesn't have the straps going under the crotch. You don't want something with seems where you sit on a unicycle seat.

Actually, my seat is too low, im looking to buy a bigger post. Sometimes my knees are a little achy too. I think i need a taller seat so my knees aren't so scruched up.

I used to have one of those rocks a while ago. I'd say you might want a better seat, but not many other seats mount to that seatpost type.
