Hey people
Just cos people might not look in the hockey thread to be reminded of this. Haldon Forest will be the location of a Muni ride this Sunday. We are to meet at 10am at Haldon Forest gateway car park. Haldon freeride webpage has somne good pics of the trails. It is relatively easy to find. By car drive down the A38 until you approach Exeter racecourse. Be careful though, the turning is very sharp so go slowly down the inside lane or else you will miss it. trust me, ive done it a couple of times (well, mum has, i cant drive). Once you are off the A38 its easy to find, with signposts and the like. By bus, first catch whatever bus you need to exeter, then get the X38 (i think, might wanna check). it will drop you off in a layby near the forest. the ride will be for all abilities as there are multiple trails. saying that though, i highly recommend that helmets, shinguards, gloves and the like are used on the technical trails. 20" or 24" or 26" etc can be used, its up to you, though with a 20" it will be a little more tiring. leave a post here to say if your gonna go, its gonna be a blast. I should be there.
The turning off the A38 at the top of Haldon Hill is signposted to Dunchideock if that helps anybody (at least, it is if you're coming from the south west - not sure about the other way from the Exeter side). See you there. Rob
