I believe that Olympic viewership is down in the U.S. because Americans view them much the same way they view the United Nations. As a threat to U.S. hegemony and global domination.

Yeah.
Thanx for the link.
Couldn't find it under day 8 either, I suspect it's been moved or archived out of reach of their search function on the page.

Bode sure hasn't had any great races during the Olympics, but he did win the World Cup last year... and that is far more impressive than winning a gold at the Olympics for a world cup skier. I dont like how the announcers almost insult Bode and say that he's looking out of shape and putting on weight. Bode is in far better shape than he's being given credit for and he is still one of the best skiers in the world. Bode was probably at the height of his skiing last year, and is very capable of doing it again, if that's what he wants. Though, recently, it seems like he doesn't really want it anymore. Oh well... hopefully Bode will be at the US Alpine National Championships at Sugarloaf in March so I can see him ski.

Another apologist...there is really no story except that he just didn't focus, didn't take the event seriously, didn't remotely come to Italy to win, as goal he certainly met. Cough: LOSER! Crawl back to your RV and start working up a spreadsheet to track sponsorship dollars BEFORE and sponsorship dollars AFTER your seklf-inflicted flameout.

Sugarloafer, since y ou're underaged, I hope you do get a chance to catch Bode out on the mountain, since you're not old enough to go see him practice his Big Event, which is tequila shooters and women in the bars, the night before his race. Yeah baby, he does it his way...and look what he has to show for it.
