I have been doing a bit of videoing of some recent Muni trails in and around
calgary lately and was wondering if anyone is interested in seeing any footage.
Someone mentioned some videos coming out this summer.

Also, does anyone have muni videos online or does anyone have the web space to
put some if I create some mpeg movies out of what I have??

Let me know if anyone is interested. Later,

Mike

If you can come up with the footage, I'm sure we can find a place to host
it. Let us know.

Thanks John,

It sounds like Kevin Gilbertson will be able to put some up on unicycle.org as
well. My only concern is the file size to quality ratio of a 15 minute video.
Not to sure how BIG to make it?

Any one have suggestions for this?

Yes, don't do it. I think 15 min. is too long for the majority of people to
download at the present state of the art. I think we'd get a lot more mileage
out of several short clips, up to 2 or 3 minutes. Something longer might be
offered for sale instead?

I have a 3 min. Quicktime version of a TV news broadcast that was done before
the 2nd MUni Weekend. It's 17 MB, so 15 min. at the same quality would be
quite huge!

I here ya. After trying out a few clips reduced in size and low quality, they
are still pretty big. I will probably just make a bunch of clips from the video
instead, lose the poor quality audio (and the mixed soundtrack) and then they
should at least look decent with resonable file sizes.

Re: Muni video online??

HI!

I recently downloaded a movie that was made for the internet only
http://www.quantumproject.com and it is 32:27 and is about 168 Mega-bytes. It
was dubed as "High Resolution" so I am not sure how big a lower resolution
file would be.
