I mean that it is about 3hrs flight from my place + some taxi.
You would have to register and pay for the tour first, but it sounds like it might be quite a bit cheaper for you overall than for anyone else. Transportation costs for most of us will be high for this one.

What is the start point then? Is it defined yet?

Day by day info is up on the Grasshopper Adventures site: http://grasshopperadventures.com/tour-GHUU13.php

I'm not sure what temporary registration is. Some kind of immigration thing?

Yes, this registration allows you to stay in the country.

Just rechecked and found mistake. Registration must be processed during 3 days (excluding hollydays and days off).
I can check about visa and all the rest if nessesary.

I guess if you provide some really reliable information it can be helpful. Otherwise it is just confusing . I've heard that the temporary registration in Uzbekistan is not needed if you stay in one place no longer than 3 days. However, I do not insist it is 100% true. Should we leave the right to inform us about formalities to the organizers?

Yes, this is correct. If you do not stay in one city/village longer than 3 days you do not have to register.
BTW some countries residents have to prepare visa first before coming so it better to find out first in travel agency.

Some related links: Online visa aplication and FAQ. All the rest is not in English

Yeah, I'm drooling over this, but looks like travel expense would be substantially more than the cost of the tour itself. I'll probably have to make do with the CA munifest. Good news is that this unitour makes travel to CA (or wherever in Western US it ends up being located) look pretty convenient for me - a nice selling point for the wife, so thanks.

Visas tend to depend on which country you are travelling from, so it's best that you check with your local travel agency or Uzbekistan consulate

I'll find out about temporary registration though.

Regarding flights from Australia- I intend to be in Perth at that time, so will hop over to Bangkok and take a direct flight from there. You could do the same from Sydney or Melbourne.

I нave no idea about discount, but hope that will be able to provide some speaking practice for you. English in exchange for Russian. Deal?

Privet

I dated a Russian girl for a year and that's all I remember.

Anwyay...speaking Russian should come in handy. Not sure about a discount...I do these tours on a non-profit basis. I want all unicyclists to experience the joys of going to far off places on one wheel.

Sorry for the slow updates. I'm just sorting out the website and a few other details. Will send around a group email shortly.

Ken
