Can electronic cigarettes reduce the health risks of smoking?

I'm not a smoker, so tolerate my "innocence" here, but it seems to me that if most of the health risk associated with tobacco are the result of inhaling carcinogens, then an electronic cigarrette negates much of that risks while still providing the stimulant effect from nicotine.

Granted nicotine is not "good for you", but if you have to smoke, is it not better to smoke low tar cigarrettes, in which case aren't electronic cigarrettes tar free?

What would happen if electronic cigarrettes were "decriminalized", received tax breaks and relief from the anti smoking campaigns, in a sense promoting electronic cigarrettes to truly reduce the use of smoking?

I'm not promoting smoking, but i would promote a less heath adverse smoking; if you gotta smoke go smokeless...

So?

I think a much better solution would be to allow Gilby, Harper, and Maestro8 to shoot all smokers in the face.

This would accomplish at least 3 things. The three of them would get to use their guns. People would be held accountable for their bad decisions, i.e. smoking. Nobody would have to pay for smokers' health care.

Now I am an ex-smoker but only by a year and I back slid one day in early June. If that means one of them gets to shoot me in the face, so be it. I will live - or in this case die - by my bad decisions.

I apologize for the blatant thread jack. If that means you get to shoot me in the face, so be it as well.

So BillyTheMountain has no guns? At least one unarmed Troll.

About electronic cigarettes, you're still inhaling something and i doubt that this has no side effects.

Is this related to that e-liquid spambot earlier today?
I recommend quitting altogether, e-cigs are for pussies.

This is a typical, left-wing liberal democrat approach to exploiting democracy. I have a great idea. Here's how you are going to implement it. Anyway, you know you're safe from me as long as you're wearing that fashionable red T-shirt. I could never harm an esthete.

This reminds me of the three "we"s:

Conventional "we" - all of us: "We all share an interest in unicycling."
Royal "we" - the person making statement. "We are not amused."
Military "we" - you: "we will take the ridge at dawn."

In politics, these can be used together in single sentences in order to enhance ambiguity:
"We have a great idea. Here's how we are going to implement it."

Next lesson will be on the three types of minutes: "Standard", "New York", and "Football"

(insert oral joke here)

Candy cigarettes are still legal. Do they even make those anymore?

you'll be paying for a LOT of smokers health care bills (and your kids and your kids' kids, too) before Darwin steps in.

for too may years now, all the atheists have been shaking their fist at the nearest university shouting: Darwin, why have you abandoned us?!

Why not make cigarettes SMALLER?

Much smaller.

most people get that relaxation after a few inhalations.
