Hey Chuck, thanks for shooting the video

The pre-storm group shot from the Friday night climbfest:

Here's a shot from early on the Saturday morning ride, taken down by the lake:

And a link to the rest of my pics: http://s214.photobucket.com/albums/c...20June%202012/

It was a shame we had to leave early, but it was fun and so interesting

Hey look, we even got into a recent Wikipedia addition for Derechos:

"A strong derecho occurred June 29, 2012 starting in Illinois and progressing eastward. It cut through Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Virginia, and Maryland in just several hours leaving millions without power. A representative for Appalachian Power said it caused the worst power outage the company had ever seen. In Virginia it caused the worst power outages in state history for any weather event outside of past hurricanes and tropical storms."

I really enjoyed riding with you guys. I wish we could have gotten in a few more. We will have to do it again (minus the storm).

Guys thanks for sharing the pictures and video. Looks like a fun time and nice trails. Sorry I missed the gathering, but I guess it was a smart move since the storm came up. This is a cool picture if someone can take the time it would be nice to know whose who, to put a name/username to the face, once again thanks for sharing.

Unknown (probably a stealth KH)
Custom KH gold

twice I saw someone pick up the wrong Muni. How about some colour choices Kris? Glad I switched out the freeride saddle for a patriotic Onza Limey for ease of identification. A lot of Brycer sourced Maguras too.

The are choices, blue, blue, or blue mine is a KH, but I got it "naked" so it's not blue.

I think there were a couple Nimbus unicycles on Saturday morning, for instance my 36er

So how about that 36er riding? Any converts to the cause??

In the second group picture, the two Ben's are missing (jbtilley went home early, nurse ben is the photographer), the addition to the party is Louis/scha6645 (wearing a red shirt in the center).

Jerry/Brickman made an appearance, but we missed him due to some confusion over the ride timing. According to my wife; the lovely and talented Mrs. nurse Ben, Jerry arrived just after we left for the Friday night ride and left just before we returned from the ride. He came back later that night due impassable roads, had some beers, then left again.

In after ride play Chuck and Clay were wowed by my Nimbus 29 with a slick Shwalbe Marathon Supreme folder and short cranks which was so silent and like floating over the Macadam after riding knobbies.

I gotta say Claude and Nurse Ben were flying on the 36'ers. Up the trails on the roots and rocks that threw the rest of us off they rolled right over. The big wheel momentum and rider strength put us muni mortals in our little wheel place.

However, I saw a fare bit of tree hugging along the trail from NB and saw Chuck's inspiring rolling 36 (and smaller wheel) rolling mounts. Us little people would need a step ladder on the trails.

To his credit, I think it was partially done as a courtesy for some of us slower riders. Any of you young(er) guys who think you can outrun these "old farts," you might be surprised.
