Awesome! I've been waiting for an event like this to come around here!

I most likely I will only be there Friday afternoon and Saturday morning, though. I may bring one electronically disconnected (he isn't on this forum) and somewhat strange unicycling friend with me.

I've never actually Muni'd before, so I am about as excited as a five-year-old at a candy factory.

Strange is good, but then aren't we all a little strange for riding unicycles, so then what makes your friend stranger than the rest of us?

Are you going to reserve a campsite for Friday night?

Yeah, I was going to say that "strange" is inherently understood when discussing Unicyclists in general, so the need to point this out has me curious, too.

It's looking better that I might be able to join you all now. It'd be just little ole me, a Muni, a kayak and some juggling clubs. Do I need to get my own horsey site or does one of you have room for another 'stranger' and his tent?

Best

So far we have:

Nurse Ben and Munimag: Beaver Dam Equestrian Campground, Fri and Sat, possibly 6 people.
Mad Furai: Beaver Dam Equestrian Campground, Fri and Sat, possibly 6 people
JBTilley: Beaver Dam, Fri and Sat, number??
Feisty?
Minimalist?
Brickman?
Moonwolf?

Well, I think JBTilley is bringing some family, not sure how many, so give him a hollar, otherwise at some point a group of folks is going to need to reserve a site and camp together.

Is anyone coming alone or in a small group (2-3) who has yet to reserve a space?

A couple more site reservations couldn't hurt and it would allow us to "own the place"

Cool, another juggler. I'm getting more consistent with the clubs now. Maybe we can attempt some "passing" between us. I'm bringing a set of 6 ultimate juggling balls, too.

I made a reservation for another campsite in the Beaver Dam horse section for Friday and Saturday. It'll be me and a tent so there's room for someone to piggy back on this site too.

Hopefully it isn't too far between loops. Maybe we could borrow a horse or find some form of reliable wheeled transportation- any suggestions?

We are all staying in Beaver Dam, which is the equestrian area, so we can ride right from the camping area to the trails.

Hahah, trust me I'm not that good. The clubs took me a long time to learn. I can do some decent tricks with 3 balls, but I'm still struggling to juggle 4 balls. Even though I can idle over 100 times on my Uni, I still can't seem to juggle and idle at the same time. Learning all this stuff at a basic level really makes you appreciate performers who can do advanced tricks in front of an audience with little or no mistakes. They have my highest respect.

87.3% sure...

I am 87.3% sure I'm gonna make it to this mid-Atlantic Muni fest. (I wish it was 100%!)

To increase the odds I need to:

(a) get laid off on June 18th as planned (after 10 years of giving my everything to this job) so I can collect the severance pkg. as promised;
(b) not accept the nonexistent offer from the next employer (who should have had it to me 2 weeks ago and wants me to start working right away); and
(c) decide I'm finished with my current line of work, so I can free myself to find something intrinsically rewarding and worthwhile to do -- maybe even something that will actually make a difference in this messed-up World.

[Step (c) is gonna be the toughest one at my age and my "position in life." ]

The main reason I'm at 87.3% sure (and not something like 13.2% sure) is that "I'm healed" according to my surgeon, and free to ride as hard as I can. The even-better news: I've already been riding, and turned out 8 miles on trail on the N24 yesterday. Now I gotta hop back on the KH29 and see if I remember how that one works.

Meanwhile, here's hoping I see you all at Douthat State Park in few weeks! (Because I really want to do-that!)

Ride On (Until You Drop) ,

Sounds like this might get a real good turn out.. We should make this an annual event.

Everyone who can make it should just do it!

I have missed some muni events and I always wish I had gone, but then of course once it's too late...

Bert, if you need any ideas, I'm your man!

@ Rolandisimo and Brickman: Find it, do it, yeah!

We have a good crew coming together, make it if you can

I was thinking the same, make it a regular event since it's such a good location, that's assuming we like the trail and the camping works out.
