How to patch KH gloves?

I've been cyanoacrylate gluing various scavenged materials with varying success. I'd prefer to avoid leather. All I've concluded is that the edges need to be rounded and if possible chamfered.

I use iron-on patches. They're cheap and work great.

Thanks, I may try that, but as often as I hit the ground

I'm not sure fabric would last me as long as it does you.
