Did I get good equipment? How does it compare to other setups? What are your thoughts?

Thanks.

The KH/Onza setup is a fine crankset; mine is still solid after 4+ years of MUni abuse. You will be somewhat limited on crank choices, as no one is making those cranks anymore.

The one thing that's a little flaky about them is the self-extracting bolts; it's easy for the extracting ring to work its way out, and occasionally the bolt will jam against the ring as it's extracting; I had to drill out the ring once. You may be better off extracting the cranks with a bearing puller.

But generally, a very good setup, formerly the reference high-end crankset.

Thank you, tholub. Very good to hear that. I'm not a very heavy rider so it should last me a while. Probably no danger of me bending a crank arm or damaging the axle.

i have a 05 kh trials with that hub/ crankset. After a year of riding on it the cranks just got more and more bent and now it is pretty much so beat up i don't ride it. I was treating it pretty harshly- big gaps and stair sets but i was hoping it would survive those. I havn't replaced the cranks because they are pretty pricey and i think they would just do the same. Maybe one day i will swap it over to a new ISIS hub. I'm sure if you don't punish it so much and have good technique then it will last but my experience with it was disappointing.
