How would the Federalists of 1812 view the current war in Iraq?
I have a debate tomorrow on this subject, and I would need some Political, Social, and Economic evidence on how the Federalists from the war of 1812 time period would view the war in Iraq.
If anyone could help, that would be great, thanks. |

First they have to get up to speed on the whole situation, which would take a while. The answer totally depends on whether they watch Fox or CNN.

The Federalists were imperialistic control freaks...pretty much like today's democrats. They LOVE wars and little skirmishes (ask Roosevelt, Truman, Kennedy, Johnson, and Clinton) and they LOVE controlling others. They would have been all over this Gulf War business.
More importantly, when was this assigned? Tell us the truth; how long ago were you assigned this?

They would need a time machine, or someone that has a time machine would have to bring them video for their viewing. That's how.

Isn't imperialism more about good investments, not about getting bogged down in wars that cost $trillions/year?

I find it better to get information from the source rather then one of its tributaries.

I'm guessing they would pull out of Iraq and take a second shot at Canada.
