Murchison is half wayish between Nelson and Westport, there's good campgrounds/motels/backpackers etc to stay at...I work there over summer, it's nice and good if you're into white water kayaking at all too.

I'm keen to ride heaps is well but I dont think I would be able to afford bus/plane/ferry tickets back
