well, they're friends, but they aren't my favorite. Except for Mr. Grasshopper, I liked him the most. I wonder why I left him out...

I eat mine with a knife and fork.
Okay, not really. It's hard to find good peaches. I've been disappointed so many times I stopped buying them and sort of forgot about them. I do, however, eat a pint or two of blueberries every day. I'll buy some peaches on Friday at Terhune Orchards after I stop at Birchwood Dairy Farm and Cherry Grove Farm on my way to Emery's U-pick organic blueberry farm. I had originally planned to just go blueberry picking, but now I'm going to make it a big blow-out farm day. Inspired by peaches. |

On another note, I did go to most of those farms on Friday. I got peaches at the orchard. Had my first peach in years. They were excellent peaches according to everyone else who ate them, but I didn't love it. I guess I'm a berry kind of guy (blueberries and strawberries). |

Ha what's with these threads. First how to peel a banana, now ho to eat a peach. Just peel a banana and eat it. Just eat a peach done nothing more to be said.
But I guess I would not be doing anything else if this thread as not here so it fills in a bit of pointless time in my 24 hours of this day.

To freeze blueberries: put them in a single layer on something like a cookie sheet that has sides and freeze them. Pick through them first and get rid of the soft ones (because there's no way to tell after you thaw them -- they will all be soft). Also, don't wash them first. Wash them after you thaw them. Oh, and after they are frozen solid, you can put them in ziplock bags. P.S. - Billy, I don't eat a pint of blueberries every day all year long, if that's what you are implying. I've just been doing that for the last few weeks. I'm antioxidant-loading (actually, I'm just addicted to them at the moment). |

You lucky you get all those berries. I can find organic blueberries but expensive and old. Costco does the best job of bringing fresh produce to the islands but not organic. I can buy blackberries, raspberries and blueberries all year round.
I don't feel too gulity about the pesticides because of the Lotus. It's the the best for cleaning fruits. See treehugger.com-lotus-sanitizing-system I use it for everything. Spinach, sprouts, lettuce, etc. Organic or not Quote:
Was it juicy? dark orange? smell sweat? I think the peach is one of my favorite taste sensations of all time. And I only figured that out a couple years ago.I'm down to my last peach. I had a quarter of it on cereal this morning. I will savor the rest on its own later today. Then no more.... till next year.

It had all the qualities of a good peach. It came straight from the orchard that grew them. I really liked it, but for some reason I guess I just don't love peaches.
A peach to you is like a bowl of blueberries to me. Heavenly. I like whipped cream on strawberries, but NOTHING on my blueberries. They are perfect just as they are. How can you hope to improve such a divine taste? |
