It seemed a bit variable. I had the chilli on Saturday evening and they gave me an enormous portion - only just managed to eat it all. But the Sunday lunch portion (especially the spuds) was a bit weedy, although the food itself was excellent (although I was pretty late turning up for that, so perhaps they were too generous earlier on and started to run short).

Saturday packed lunches were not really enough to sustain us on a long muni ride, but they were tasty and made a nice mid-morning snack

I don't know about the breakfast - I never eat more than a banana in the morning anyway - but people who ate them seemed to be happy.

The students and/or teachers were very friendly and polite.

I don't know how to comment on this. I felt breakfast portions would have been too small had it not been for the fact that I had both a hot and a cold breakfast. For Saturday dinner, I managed to blag an extra big portion because they needed to use up the chilli, whether I would have got that if I had been first in line, I don't know. I would probably agree with Danny on this one, but then again, I'm told I have an unusually large appetite.

Overall, the standard of service and the quality of food was great, maybe would have been nice to have a healthier hot option for breakfast, a moment on the lips, a life time on the hips!

I've sorted out a few of my pics of the muni rides. Some better than others, but here goes:

I've just finished uploading all the freestyle competition entries. Regrettably I have a terrible memory for names so not everyone's names are credited; I'd be grateful if someone filled in the holes.

You'll find it all on my vimeo, and don't forget to check page 2 for the other group freestyle routine!

More video will be coming from teh Seize the moment team who did our sound and AV stuff on Saturday. Jane is editing it down to a short film of teh whole day PLUS freestyle routines which will be available in the raw to the competitors to use as they wish. I'll e-mail those involved once its done.

Big thanks to Sarah and the team for organising it. A big dampener for the weekend for me (apart from the rain) was trials and street being cancelled, but you can't help the weather so no-ones fault really. I spent most of the weekend watching the hockey. Really dissapointed in myself that I didn't make the effort to make the sunday muni ride in Haldon, looks great fun.

Big highlight for me was riding Dartmoor on Monday with Rob. Rob is some kind of muni machine, and had me and Joe half dead after the ride! He was powering up all the hills and apparantly had only had a banana and a digestive biscuit for breakfast! Big thanks to him for letting us use his shower and eat/recover at his.

Joe and I roadtripped down to Newquay Monday afternoon and had a few days there riding and chillin'. All in all, a great week.

It's a really good trail - not that long (I think it's about 5 miles) but very varied, and it loops off the fireroad a few times so you can easily ride bits more than once if you've got time. If you're over this way again anytime it's well worth a visit. They're building a new trail as well, to be opened at the end of this year - hopefully it'll be as good as the current one.

I have uploaded my photos to facebook now. I didn't get many of BUC, but I got alot from the roadtrip that me and Joe did afterwards if anyone is interested.
Oh and most of the spokes broke on the 12" trials the first time I jumped on it!

Thanks for a great weekend Sarah and crew! Despite the weather everything seemed real good. It was great to see loads of people entering freestyle for once, and even better to see everyone was really good as well. Dave enjoyed himself too. He said the unicycling community seems like one big family. He's learning to ride now and hoping to compete next year
