-120cm sidehop -360 on a 6 set -180 on a 9 set(?) -Do 500 hours of unicycling -FullOutFlip (I dont really like flatland, but this trick is awesome) -SideJump (or sidespin, just a side????) -Double Flip -360 unispin on wheel -Explore more to find more Trials spots! |

Trials & Muni!

Bump!
What have you guys done on you lists?
![]() I haven't done much on my list. I probably would've been closer if I hadn't been operated. Also, there's a few things I could've done if I tried. The year is still not done yet! I'm hoping I can do all the flatland stuff before the year ends! That was my list, now separated with the stuff I wont do this year, the stuff I did, and the stuff I could do this year. Done: -DoubleFlip -Explore more to find more Trials spots! Do-able: -360 on a 6 set -180 on a 9 set(?) -FullOutFlip (I dont really like flatland, but this trick is awesome) -SideJump (or sidespin, just a side????) -360 unispin on wheel Not possible this year: -120cm sidehop -Do 500 hours of unicycling (I'm not even at 400 and my riding has slowed done since my surgery) |

Ok, let's see how I've done...
Thanks to my heel stress fracture last July I've definitely averaged more than one ride a week, in fact I've ridden almost 1300 miles this year thus far (granted, mostly road mileage). ![]() Quote:

Another goal is to organize at least one MUni and one 36er event this year in the Los Angeles/Orange County area. For MUni a good place for a group ride could be Simi Valley's "Hummingbird" or "Chumash", or Cheeseboro in Agoura Hills, and the 36er ride could be along the beach bike paths. It would be great to get at least 10 riders for each event.

Normally I don't like to put my goals out there too far ahead, but I will this time. I've heard people claim that stating your goals makes you more likely to accomplish them because people hold you accountable, and others say you're less likely to accomplish them because the satisfaction of stating them reduces motivation. Whatever.
I only have one: make an attempt at the 24-hour distance record. Either this fall, or in 2012. |

I believe it is currently held by Sam Wakeling, at 454km (282mi). http://redwelly.co.uk/?page_id=4
That record was set in Sept 2007; has stood long enough! |

my 2011 uni goals
Unfortunately I am bit of a season rider--I never ride in winter because Virginia is always wet and cold, and I hate the cold! So my goals in no particular order:
1. Do more flatland practicing indoors in my basement during bad weather 2. Learn to unispin 3. Learn to crankflip 4. master gliding (i'm 80% there) 5. increase my high jump for trials 6. learn stand up WW 7. attempt to learn crank rolls/rolling wraps 8. BC Wheel for 1 mile...if I can find the perfect hill for it (my record is 1500 ft) Events: 2011 Congress of Jugglers (for my 5th consecutive time) 2nd annual NY Unicycle Festival (if they have another. it's a blast!) |
