Obama and Change

I like Obama because he is for CHANGE, and CHANGE is what we need. CHANGE is about moving from where we were to where we will be. CHANGE make sense because, to not CHANGE makes us.... unchanged.

CHANGE will bring about HOPE. New HOPE. HOPE that we didn't have before CHANGE showed up. HOPE will follow CHANGE. Sometimes HOPE leads CHANGE, but typically it follows CHANGE.

HOPE sometimes follows CHANGE too closely and CHANGE will eventually tap its brake lights. If HOPE isn't careful, HOPE will rear-end CHANGE and CHANGE will be pissed. If HOPE is to ever overtake CHANGE, HOPE should at least beep its horn or flick its lights. CHANGE needs to know that HOPE is passing.

Sometimes, HOPE doesn't look far enough into the FUTURE. The FUTURE will surely bring about CHANGE, but CHANGE is already doing the speed limit. Therefore, HOPE should follow CHANGE and be patient, but HOPE is more important than CHANGE. HOPE and CHANGE sometimes tries to sees who can get to the FUTURE first and the FUTURE has to swerve into the ditch to keep from being taken out by HOPE and CHANGE. HOPE and CHANGE have pulled this dodge more than once.

So... where does that leave the FUTURE? Depending on the FUTURE'S insurance, it can be OK or wiped out. HOPE and CHANGE are not insured. HOPE and CHANGE spent their money on spinner hub caps. The FUTURE had to have a savings account. While HOPE and CHANGE partied, the FUTURE held down two jobs. HOPE and CHANGE will have to steal from the FUTURE in order to stay on the road.

Obama will bring us HOPE and CHANGE.

Would that be false hope for spare change? I see no future in that.

I think McCain will offer more change, I mean just look at how much he changes his "straight talk". http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ioy90nF2anI

I like change. Hmmm... Obama's slogan is: "Change we can believe in." And recently I see that McCain's slogan is "A leader we can believe in."

You know, I think I'll change. I was going to vote for the Republican Party candidate, assuming that was Ron Paul, but at the MN GOP convention, I saw first hand that they are the Fascist Party of Minnesota. So, I'll change my vote to the person with the slogan of "Liberty for America" or the other one with "Restore the Constitution" as their slogan. I haven't decided yet which one... I still have five months to choose. Too bad we don't have instant run-off voting, as then I could vote for both.

Gilby, you have confused me. First Obama, then someone else and now people with slogans!?! Why is politics so stupidly confusing? And why the hell is on my news here too, I'm quite sure our elections are posted worldwide.

Explain your reasoning. Or are you just being a troll?

And that is a bad thing? Religion and State should be separate. And, how can a christian be anti-christ?

Also, I think that change would definitely be a good thing, especially considering the direction the United States is headed in at the moment (straight down).

Oh, and I am all for McCain...
Actually, he is not half African-American. His father was a Nigerian, not an American. So he is half black African, half white American. And since he was born here he is 100% American but there is no way I will vote for him. He's economically illiterate and his prescriptions for the economy could make his reign worse than Jimmy Carter's. There are a lot of young people on this board so you don't remember what a mess Carter made of things. I'm afraid Obama would be a lot like that.

As far as the deliberate spreading of lies go, this one is a doozy. For those who believe it, it's a deal breaker. Those who are aware of the fact that he is not and never was a Muslim are put in the position of risking offending Muslims by denying it too vigorously, as though there were something wrong with being Muslim.

I salute whoever came up with it. And if I recall correctly it may have been a Clinton operative, so extra kudos to him or her for effectively shooting the Democrats in the foot.

They're picking who's going to be the world's most powerful man (or woman). This kindof affects us. If Bush hadn't been in power, would there have been an Iraq war, would British soldiers have died? Who knows, but it is certainly conceivable that the answer to these questinos is no.

Adolf Hitler was for change, as were Napoleon, Genghis Khan and Nero.

Change is only good if it is change to something better. Obama seems a decent guy as politicians go. No doubt he will shortly disappoint us all. But he can't possibly be worse than George W Bush.

As were Lloyd George, Aneurin Bevan, Mahatma Ghandi, Martin Luther King and Rolf Harris.

Wait, I may have gone one too many there.
