I can juggle up to four balls, but I'm not too good at four, I can only keep them going for about 30 catches at my best.
I can also do clubs, but I'm not great at them either.
I juggle anything that I find three of.

I can juggle lots of 3 and 4 ball tricks. Could do 5 at one time. Also 3 knives.

In my day, I had a great 3,4,5 ball routine, as well as clubs, cigar boxes and sabres, diablo, devil sticks, balancing a ball on a parasol, walking the rolling globe, plate spining and balancing (1 on a mouth stick, 2 plates in 1 hand, juggling 2 balls in the other), along with a bit of magic and a puppet and walk around gags. i did birthday parties every Saturday at a restaurant, and free lanced my way through college.

Now I just juggle 3 clubs 7 miles, while unicycling to, from and around a local park. I still have a mean 3 ball routine, but I never practice that anymore.

Be well.

Billy

I can juggle 3 and 4 good, and I can "qualify" (throw and catch each ball twice) 5 balls most of the time. I'm also working on transitions from 4 balls fountain to andd from 4 ball half shower.

I use tennis balls, which people tell me isn't the best ball to use, so hopefully I'll get some better beanbag things pretty soon. I also want to try clubs, I can do steak knives a little...

I can juggle with 3 balls. I'm not quite good on it, so I'm running around when I'm juggling. I didn't think much of it.

You'll find you improve much more quickly with some decent balls. In my day, lacrosse balls were the best available, and ALL jugglers used them. They are still very good, but now there's more variety and expense, if you want it.

There is even a thread here you can search, where they discuss balls.
