Michael Moore Got It Wrong!

Yes, along with the Bush administrations errors around the presence of WMDs in Iraq, the Iraq Al-Qaeda connection, the number of troops needed to execute the war, Michael Moore erred grievously in his film Fahrenheit 9/11. In it he cites the story Bush was reading to the 2nd grade class as being called My Pet Goat. In fact, it was called The Pet Goat. Read the expose in this week's New Yorker.

Cheers,

Great Movie

What a excellent movie though, huh? I think everyone in America should be required to watch it before they vote. Fuck Bush, Go Kerry!!

Yes, but if we're required to see it, would we be eligible for overtime pay?

I wish Michael Moore would get a hobby. Maybe unicycling. But I really believe that everybody should stop watching his movies and spend the time researching it himself.

I think it would be more educational if everyone was required to read Kerry's voting record and his past positions on every political issue he has stated an opinion on.

John,

I am not particularly a Kerry fan, but I plan on voting for him. He's what the Democratic party has come up with and I don't plan on voting for Nader this time.

But it would be interesting to have this discussion. Why don't you start us off by picking an issue and summarizing Kerry's position and voting record and your thoughts?

Raphael got threadjacked, but I don't think he minds. In NY, I can afford to vote Nader without hurting Kerry, but I don't know about NJ. Still, I think I'll hold my nose and pull the lever for Kerry.

His voting record shows he's a politician, and that's not good. Unfortunately, that's all we get in this country anymore.

This seems like a dangerous opinion to have. "The Democrats picked this guy so I'll vote for him."
Vote for the best candidate, or at least, vote for the least bad candidate. What happened to the days of good presidents who didn't cause huge scandals?

yes, vote for the least bad candidate - that actually has a chance of winning! I think Nader would make a great president, but voting for him is only going to take away votes from the second least bad candidate that HAS a chance of winning.

Also, anybody else getting annoyed by Nader accepting all the money and support from republicans in three KEY "flip-flop" states?(Oregon, Wisconsin, Florida) Doesnt nader find it a little strange that the same right-wing Republicans that are anti-choice and anti-environment are suddenly pro-Nader? I mean, he's not stupid. He knows that their only objective is to strip away votes from kerry.

Is Nader Pro-Bush??? Or does he actually think he has a chance of winning? Someone help me understand this guy!

Okay, so maybe nobody understands Nader. But I got to thinkin maybe he's taking these grants from the republicans, and is going to use that money to build some momentum for his cause, then drop out before the election and turn those votes over to Kerry. I doubt this is the case, but I think that be the only right thing to do in this situation. If that is not the plan, then what really are his motives? Is he sincerely trying to give Bush another term?
