Some pics...

I've got some movie frames to share that aren't really r.s.u worthy...

I really enjoy backwards stair riding. Yesterday I did a set of 13 and today I got to the bottom then fell off on a set of 23 slightly less steep but narrow and curvy ones. It was fun.

Anyway, here are some bits and pieces from a beach ride and the last weekend.

The rock that I'm gapping to in the first frame (the one casting the biggest shadow) snapped in half on impact. It made me feel powerful.

Wow, backwards stairs and jumping is super impressive. That's so awesome.

Something similar happened to me at the BMW last weekend. My pedal hit a rock on the side of the track; I was expecting to follow the normal ballistic trajectory after this happens, but instead the rock shattered and I cycled on undaunted. Yeah... the power... the POWER!!! Mwuahahahaha!!!

The ground got me back later when riding along a steep hillside; the pedal hit a more solid root and propelled me running down the hill, unable to stop, for about thirty feet or so...

Of course, I'm only posting this to avoid dwelling on the photos of stair riding. BACKWARDS?! I can't do the damned things forwards, let alone backwards! Bah humbug! :P

wow, your tire compressed a lot on that pole.... Is it supposed to do that?
What's your PSI set to?

Thanks guys.

Did you get it on tape?
- Yes, do you want to see it?

why aren't there any pics of alex or the other guys
- We'll be using some of the footage we got in our combined Australian movie (which we will be selling) so I thought I probably shouldn't show too much. But we got some good footage.

and propelled me running down the hill, unable to stop, for about thirty feet or so...
- It's fun isn't it! Two days ago I was riding down a pretty steep rocky section and fell at the half way mark. Somehow, the unicycle flew 5m ahead of me in the air, then hit the ground and bounced for another 5m.

Wow... those shoes a really white andrew.
- They're my new unicycling shoes, I'm working on dirtying them up. I hate perfectly white sneakers.

- In short, I think so. Since I'm not hitting small landing surfaces like that with a huge amount of force I think it's ideal for it to just barely miss hitting the rim. The reason it's so compressed in that frame is that from memory that landing surface is about 30 - 40mm wide (deep in the photo). I think I have about 20 psi in there, but I can't remember for sure. I'm a light person though, only about 65kg.
