Gallery filesize limit?

I've repeatedly uploaded a video file that is about 28Mb. The upload appears to complete succesfully but the resulting gallery item is a broken link.

I tried uploading a test .AVI that's about 3Mb and it worked fine.

Is there a filesize limit that would cause the larger video to fail?

yes there is, i believe that Gilby set it at 250mb

I thought I remembered him saying 200MB. There's a thread somewhere in 'Requests' about it.

Can anyone suggest why my .AVI uploads appear to succeed but the resulting link in the gallery is broken?

See http://gallery.unicyclist.com/albuw39. Two of the five videos are broken links. They uploaded without error.

It may be coincidence but they happen to both be over 20Mb.
