Will someone be my official for skill levels?

I've been riding for a while and I'd like to start making my skill level advances official. I don't have a digital camera, but I have a webcam. I realize it's going to be hard to show me riding 50 feet inside the small room that my computer is in, but I can manage the other things like the style of mounts, riding and hopping over objects etc, riding through parallel lines, etc... Anyone here want to go ahead and be my official examiner for my skill level tests?

I would recommend that you guys take a look at this site:

http://www.unicycling.org/usa/levels/

I think that videos can be submitted to the USA for some of these things. Anyway, the USA site is the place to begin. E-mail them and ask them what the easiest way to do it is. Florida I think is not too complicated. Israel, maybe the IUF site is the place to check.

If you are planning on going to NAUCC/Unicon you can get tested there. Lots of level testers will be hanging out there.

You can send the video to me to be tested. I can take digital files online, or a VHS, 8 mm, or Hi8 tape that is recorded in NTSC (different that what's used in most of europe, unfourtunately). If you go the digital route, let me know and I'll get an ftp dropbox for you to upload the video to. For videotape, you can send it to: Kevin Gilbertson; 5275 Oxford St. N; Shoreview, MN 55126; USA. You can also send it to the USA PO box, but that'll most likely end up in my hands, anyways.

Make sure you read through the definitions of the skills at http://www.unicycling.org/usa/levels/ to make sure you are doing the skill correctly. Also, when filming it, it must be uncut (keep the camera on all the time) and make sure the camera angles make it clear that you are doing the skill correctly.

Hey there,
Does it cost any money to be tested? Do you get a certifcate that you've
passed or just the knowledge that you did pass?

It doesn't cost anything to be tested. You can buy the USA level patches which comes with a card that says you passed, if you want that. Otherwise, you'll just get put in a database saying you passed, and if a lot of people send videos in to me to be tested, I might make a webpage that lists the people I've tested that way and passed.
