Riding now for 5 months. Yesterday I did my best muni run to date. here is a vid of our first attempt a few weeks ago My Wonderful Wife (WW) recorded yesterdays effort so I will put it together an post it when I get a chance. So far I have taught both sons, daughter and brother in law and WW is almost riding unassisted (wont be long and she will be ripping up the trails with us, keep at it hon) We have 2 QU-ax muni, 4 KH trials and I have a KH36. WW says no 24 or 26 till next year and considering what we have spent in 2010 I reckon thats fair enough!

Hi Andy I'm not to clever on this interwebby thing particularly how this message board thing works I thought I posted it properly but it was only on my board anyway below is a copy of what I posted a while back.

Hi Andy congratulations on taking up the strange but rewarding sport of unicyling,it sounds like you have progressed quickly so far,I'm guessing that Pomona would have plenty of MTB trails you could use for muni.It probably won't be long before you will be thinking about a bigger wheel.I learnt to ride when I was 42 and now have 7 unicycles and my son and daughter have 1 each ,it can become quite addictive.Anyway keep up the good work.

I too put a smooth tyre on the axis and had about 60psi in it. Not sure that it helped as now I have a big fat Maxxis Creepy crawly at about 28psi and I love it. Its so forgiving on little lumps and bumps and is such a smoother ride on the rough stuff. My riding improved instantly. One day I will get a KH24 for the tracks.
You guys sure are getting hammered by the weather. Its beautiful here, getting up to about 30c 85F in the middle of the day with a little rain on and off. We went water skiing this morning. Havnt had the boat in the water in nearly 2 years!! She started first kick and purred like a kitten all morning. Couldnt get the daughter out of bed so it was only 3 of us, so it was just the wife number 2 son and I, good times. Hope the weather improves for you.

Hi Andy, from Andy! I have an Avenir 24", I just changed the tire yesterday to a 24x3 Hoggy G slick. Tried to ride this thing about a dozen times last year and just got it out last week to make it or break it. Managed one ride on pavement about 80yards, almost a football field and that was with a knobby tire. We've been getting pounded with snow and there's about 2 feet out there. Been practicing my freemounts down the basement the last few days, and out of about 900 attempts I managed to successfully freemount and ride across the basement twice. I'm also eyeballing a KH24. What's the weather like in Australia?
