That 66 furlong ride with Olduniman was a bit of a strain. Guess I'm going to have to ride the 24 inch more than once a month. I'd never have done it without the obligation of supporting my buddy in his anti-aging program. But it sure gives us a lot to talk about over beers afterwards. How pathetic is that? :-)
Reading past posts, I have to comment to PatMoore about his wife's regulation about not riding closer than 3 weeks to a vacation. Last summer, we were heading to Denmark for the European Championships (or whatever) to support our grandkids - and do a bit of riding. My wife had been learning and was quickly heading out into the unsupported world. We were in the process of packing to leave within 3 or four days. Well, on her last go (of course it was her last go), she fell on the gravel and broke her ankle quite severely. No trip to Denmark and I spent a summer of waiting on her and mom-in-law. Fun but we missed the unimeet and worse, she hasn't got back on yet! :-(
