A full weekend of cycling! 19/20 May 2011 in Derbyshire. This is the same group who organised the Pennies in the Park... so this has great potential to be a fantastic event. There are races for bikes, penny farthings and unicycles. There will even be some events that will combine them. There will definately be a big wheel unicycle race.
I will post up more information as I get it. There is also room for suggestions as well, I know they are up for letting us play hockey and polo.
Initial Programme
Saturday 19th May
■Youth races (Short route)
■Senior race (Long route)
■Go racing 3-10years
■Unicycle race (Long route)
■Paperboy race
■Prize presentations
■Barn dance and hog roast – entrance by ticket only
Sunday 20th May
■Grass track racing
■Unicycle racing
■Go ride
■Penny farthing race timed laps
■Vintage cycle procession
We will also have:
■Roller racing (in the Thoresby courtyard)
■Vintage cycle display
■Pedal power smoothie maker (in the Thoresby courtyard)
■Trade stands
■Unicycle polo
■Archery
■Concourse de tete
■Youth Bands through a radio station
■Go ballooning
■Barn dance and hog roast
There will be camping available from the Friday night.
