Hello unicyclists,
It is with immense pleasure that Monotréal unvails the new formula for the FDS Monotréal : the first edition of the CMQ (“Compétition de monocycle du Québec”, Québec Unicycling Competition). The CMQ is THE annual competition for unicycling in Québec ; the opportunity for unicyclists of all levels to come and share their passion for our one wheeled sport during a big 3 days reunion !
This year, we decided to enlarge the event by integrating a few workshops and more competitions. We are also working hard on a new trials course from beginner to expert.
Without delay, here are the preliminary information for the CMQ :
When :August 26th to August 28th 2011
Where :Friday the 26th : On top of Mount-Royal, at the Belvedere
Saturday the 27th : At the Taz Skatepark (indoors & outdoors), 8931 Papineau Avenue, Montréal
Sunday the 28th : At the Taz Skatepark (outdoors) and at the Mount-Royal for the Muni competitions (more detailed locations to come)
What :Flatland
Street
Trials
High jump and long jump
Muni (Downhill & Cross-Country)
10K
Best trick contest
Slopestyle Street
Various workshops
Group outings in downtown Montréal to discover the city and all it has to offer
There will be participation prizes for everyone and special awards for top riders in each discipline.
