Hey, I recently got some new pedals to replace my year old, heavily used pedals. The right pedal had developed some play and both spun very loosely. I wanted to see if I could fix the pedals rather than just let them go to waste, so I looked it up and found this great article: http://www.bmx-forum.com/threads/19411-Re-packing-Unsealed-Pedals
I followed all of the steps using the right pedal and now it has no play, and spins much better. So if your pedals are getting loose but your not done with them, try this out and they should be good as new (other than wear and tear on the pedal body).
