KML and KMZ files as attachment

In this forum, many people share details about their last ride, including pictures and a description of the track.

Also, many of us use Google Earth.

It would be nice if we could add google earth track information as attachments. Right now this is only possible if we first zip the file (.zip is allowed).

Can I ask to allow also .kml and .kmz as direct attachments, please? These files are usually very small.

Hmmm. Just "no comment"?

I know that the workaround with zipping the files works. But it would be nicer if we could just directly klick on such a placemark and Google Earth launches automatically.
