The flanges on that hub look tiny! Is it even possible to change a spoke without removing the bearings?
STM
bobousse

yes you have to remove the bearings to change spokes, but someone who has the money to have a titanium hub has the money for a bearing extractor i think
a small flanges wont be bent..... plus you gain some weight haha

how are the all bran pedals good compared to odyssey pc plastic or eastern plastics?
bobousse
2009-12-14, 08:12 PM
all bran pedals, are not classics pedals, it's made from plastic and fiber so that it's stronger
i rode those pedals for more than 6 months and i ride between 1/5 hours per day each day and i have no problem with those pedals yet
so believe me it's pretty good pedals ;)

-Yes, KH saddles fit on impact seatposts.
-I really like impact saddles, they are really thin and light.
-I think its the same handle's and bumpers...i could be wrong though.
-I think the reagent frames are a LOT stronger than the KH ones, they have a better design at the fork, and i snapped my KH frame doing the same thing that I'd done heaps of times on my reagent one.
Hope this helps.

The seats are alot thinner, the bumpers look the same.
The seat post fits a kh seat
I can't say about the frames as I use a kh.I need the long neck for my height.

The impact seats have the old velo base (same as k1, kh before 09, quax, torker...). Kris redesigned his base so now so all of the KH seats are stronger. It's also a slightly different shape, the rear bumper is deeper also. They both fit on the same posts.
I don't know about the frames, I just know the impact frame is the same as the bunnycycle frame that kahero used to(?) sell. The crown is really tall.

Impact feel better to hold onto and the covers not as sqirmy as the kh(I mean,it doesn't move around as much, even with the kh strings as tight as possible)

I have a carbon fiber base by Scott Wallis (http://www.wallisdesign.com/DRbaseCollage2comp.jpg) and I use a thomson seat post.
I have a little bit of cut foam from a KH seat along with a bit of duct tape inside. I use a blue miyata bumper because it fits the seat base better. I have a KH seat cover and handle.
It is pretty much the nicest seat setup that you can buy (in my opinion).

The Impact/Addict seats are designed to be fitted like that... With the fabric tucked under the post.

I know but renegade told me to put the cover over the seat post but when I did that it didn't fit. The I put my KH seat post (2007-2008) over the fabric I really had to take a file to it to slim it down to make it fit ! :(

Wow! very nice uni indeed! Is that a new style of frame like a kinda longneck or is the saddle low so it looks longer? :D btw you bringin that to EUC?
Haha I wonder if most flatland riders will now transfer over to riding those type of wheel sets.
bobousse
2010-07-04, 07:12 AM
it's the impact reagent long neck frame, plus i ride my seat a little lower than before... i'll be at EUC, and if i didn't change my mind about that uni i'll be with it at EUC.
i don't think most flatland riders will switch to those type of wheels, this wheel is good for spins and crankroll tricks, for the flip tricks i'm doing it's ok, but for riders that do flip tricks a lot i don't know how good it is...

simonb

foam is yellow, but i doubt you can see it though the cover.... more likely just general dirty handedness from riding, rubbing off on the seat?

Really annoyed I can't seem to get a gravity longneck frame anywhere at the moment or I would have:
KH seat, PFII seatpost, gravity longneck frame, singlebolt seatclamp, Koxx 32h reinforced wheelset, 140mm K1 reinforced cranks, Gusset PCPs (probably changing to twisted PCs as they're more grippy, tryall tyre)
All of these unicycles with Impact gravity frames look so nice!
If Impact are looking at changing the frame design (as is the word on the street :p ) then I can't wait! Literally though, I don't think I can wait that long.

Are these spokes white or silver?
If they're white you need to tell me where you got them!

Will my K-1 backflip frame fit on the impact wheel? It doesnt fit my KH wheel looks like the hub is too big. its old anyway so i was going to buy an impact wheel. I need to know if the frame i have will fit though. Or if i need a new frame too.
