I hadn't braved the stairs for a couple months-- that was when I took the toe
clips off. But yesterday, I tried a few, and before the hour was up, I was
back on campus hitting some good runs. (Campus here is kind of on a hill, so
there are stairs in several places.) The 26" wheel is smooth-- I like it. And
I LOVE the feeling when you are descending a steep slope and then drop off the
edge-- the momentary loss of resistance to the pedals when your wheel is in
the air is great!

Something else I've tried but haven't got it to work yet, maybe someone can help
me. What do you have to do to go UP a couple of stairs. Even just two in a row?
Does it just take a big leap instead of a little one? How many are possible?

Oh, and I picked up a used shopping cart today for 5 bucks from a local grocery
store that went out of business. I had to take a few gallons of hot water down
there to pick it up, though, because the wheels were frozen in ice! Couldn't pry
it out (tried).
