Pashley Seat Mod.

Recently I purchased a Pashley Muni and, as predicted, I love the machine but
just can't do the factory seat. I would like to install a Viscount or a Schwinn
seat (same 4 bolt pattern) in place of the factory seat. My problem is that the
post diameter is larger than the Schwinn post or any other post that I have with
that 4 bolt pattern. Will I have to fabricate a post or is there a comercial one
available? Any and all ideas about a seat exchange on this uni will be much
appreciated. I'm sure that this issue has arisen before in these mailings, but I
have not been on line long enough to have seen it. Thanks to all, Mike

Both my wife and I have Pashley MUnis and both of us have changed the saddle. I
went for a Viscount - DM sells them with the correct sized post (or near as
dammit). My wife contines to use her Miyata saddle and stem but uses a shim
(cheap to buy from a good bike shop, but may need some modification) to get the
fit. The default seat *is* rather crap isn't it?
