OPEN JUGGLING RAFFLE VENDORS WORKSHOPS PARTY GAMES

FUN! FUN! FUN!

We had such a great time last year that we're trying to change as little as
possible. Like last year, there is no charge for registration etc.

The festival shirts have a picture of Art Jennings as "Happy Dayze the Bum
Juggler" (with Art's permission) and "WILL JUGGLE FOR FOOD" on the front.
This is part of a shameless publicity ploy. We're asking for donations of
nonperishable food. We hope this will help out the local food bank and get
some good karma/publicity for us.

We'll try to sell you a T-shirt, can of pop, or raffle ticket but juggling
is FREE & UNTAXED. What we have changed for this year are major
improvements.

THE LOCATION: LAST YEAR-150 jugglers, Rock Island Armory, monster space in
the heart of the Rock Island "District", the best food, drink, shows, and
gambling in the Midwest.

THIS YEAR-200+ jugglers in the same place. We had to fight like hell to
keep the Armory. Let's teach them how much fun jugglers and juggling can be
so EVERYBODY show up to play.

THE SHOW: LAST YEAR-Show in a nice little theater that was almost
impossible to find in the dark.

THIS YEAR-Same theater but with new exterior lighting and sunset is LOTS
later in April.

( If you'd like to be in the show please let me know. We're doubling the pay for
performers. That's right! YOU could get FOUR raffle tickets.)

THE PARTY:

LAST YEAR-Signature Inn Bettendorf , great food, drink, and FREE BREAKFAST.

THIS YEAR-Why mess with a good thing?

To reserve a room, call them at (319) 355-7575.
Mention the JUGGLEFEST for the best rate.

DIRECTIONS:
>From the head waters at Lake Itasca, follow The Mighty
Mississippi, the Father of Waters, south the Great River Bend area and watch out
for Lock & Dam 15. Take a left just after locking through. From the Gulf of
Mexico follow the river north and turn right just before Lock & Dam 15.

If coming by car (dull!) Rock Island is near the spot where I-80 and I-74
cross the river (see above) and you'll need a map. Maps and Festival Fliers
will be mailed out to ALL IJA members in Illinois and Iowa in mid-March.
Club contact people in Illinois, Iowa, and all surrounding states will get
copies in early March. If you don't fall into one of these catagories, send
an e-mail to one of the contact people below.
