I do speak spanish, in french.
That reminds me of the Dos Equis ad campaign with The Most Interesting Man In The World.
"He can speak French, in Russian."
I forget that everything is on YouTube: YouTube - Dos Equis: The Most Interesting Man in the World (Summer 2009)

+1
I think it's because French, Spanish and English are so closely related.
(I have major respect for anyone who can learn an East Asian language as an English speaker first)

Yeah, you did.
There are a few too many infinitives and you're missing an "a."
EDIT: Yay, I messed up my English.

EDIT: Awesome, thanks for fixing it for me.

Nunca cantamos ni patinamos.
I think she wanted the first person singular there.
I'm not sure, though. The previous subject WAS her and her friends.

Oh, yeah I do want it first person there. Would it be, "Nunca canto ni patino"?

wrong, lol:D cantamos y patinamos aren't 1º person
yo canto
el/ella canta
nosotros cantamos/patinamos
can be "yo patino y canto"(1º person) but, i didn¡t understand that , because the previous sentence is about she and her friends

You know, I have never learned Spanish grammar in school. It sucks, we just speak correctly and that's all. Nobody thinks about whether it's 1st, 2nd or 3rd person, so we never learn it ahaha
Heh. I know what you mean. I've learned a lot about English grammar by studying other languages.

That would be great! I have(make?) lots of grammar mistakes:o
Not really. Most of the mistakes that you make are sometimes made by native speakers on these forums;):p
In fact, I just scrolled through some of my old posts, and I was quite embarrassed :o
Spoken English is generally more lenient than written.
( I'm writing this in English because I have no idea how to say "Not really," "native speaker," or "lenient" in Spanish. :o)
nimblelight
2009-10-07, 03:39 AM
"Not really,"
"En realidad, no,"
"De verdad, no,"
and "verdaderamente, no,"
come to mind.
I don't know what phrase has the same connotations and flavor, though. I don't even know whether the last one is correct or not.
For the other words, you can use http://wordreference.com/
The Japanese would be 別に, if that means anything:rolleyes:

Bye, everyone. I am exiling the English language from my life and will therefore not be returning to these forums.
There is too much English here, and if I visit, I usually end up losing a half an hour of exposure to one of my target languages.
そして、さよならですよ。

Puedo hablar algo de español, ¡pero no mucho!
Hola
A mi me pasa al contrario que la mayoria, mi inglés no es demasiado bueno.
Soy monociclista de Málaga (España), no suelo entrar mucho por aquí, tan solo cuando busco información de algún tema concreto.
En España tenemos el foro "monociclos.com", por si os interesa a los que controlais mejor el español que el inglés.
Un saludo

Escamotear = to juggle.
Hay otra palabra?
Ejemplo:
Juan no puede escamotear las manzanas porque no las tiene.
