Tassie circus festival

Some of you may know about the Tasmanian circus festival happening from
Feb28-Mar2 with a prefestival workshop from Monday to Thursday. I'm planning on
going with about5-10 people from WA, and was just wondering how many other
unicyclists are thinking about going! I heard a rumour about a muni track (there
are lots of walking trails around) and would love to actually meet some flesh
and blood unicyclists who throw themselves offthe sides of mountains.

Anybody know anything about the festival? Anybody going to to festival? Anybody
want to know more about the festival?

If it anything like last year's circus festival, while there were unicycles
around, they didn't make a big showing.

Last year, it was on North Stradbroke Island. The site was a grassy field, and
not really conducive to unicycling. I believe Tasmania will be similar, although
I get the feeling that if there are any Muni riders around, poor terrain will
just make them more eager to ride.

The only time any unicyclists got together at Stradbroke was for the unicycle
race, during the games. It was not a serious event - I was one of two 24"
unis who entered. I competed against about half-a-dozen 20" and a couple of
20" giraffes.

I'll see you in Tasmania, and, if I am in a bitter mood, I will relate to you
the story of how I was cheated of my one chance of ever winning a unicycle race.
