An older religion poll left out a large group. Here's an attempt to be more inclusive.

Well the Secular/Nonreligious/Agnostic isnt all the same... secular isnt even a religion

Of course "secularism" isn't a religion.
There isn't really a word for the doctrine that there is no god. I'm not sure such a doctrine even exists outside of religions that have other beliefs. That's not what atheism means--it's just a lack of belief in one particular set of ideas. It's not a religion either...
If you wanted to list actual opposition to religion, that would be antitheism.
You should have just put a checkbox for "none" instead of bringing in words that at best mean "none" but with different connotations. Keep it simple...

Those slashes mean "or".
So, for example, if the poll was:
Which of the following best describes you pet?
1. Bird
2. Cat/Dog/Flort
3. Other
4. I don't want to participate
If you had a Dog, you would choose #2, even if you don't have a Cat and never even heard of a Flort.
The idea is to choose the "best" answer.
If you don't feel comfortable with that, you might then choose to abstain from the poll altogether, or choose #4.
Whatever is "best" for you.

I still think that those two options should be replaced with "none.".......
what would you check if you believe in God but not all the other crap?

Come on people, it's not that hard.
Maybe we should have started with an easier poll like "What's your favorite color?"
Remember, you can't lose anything here. The poll is free, there aren't any prizes, and you can choose to not answer it.

Jews?
The options are ranked by size in the world, based on a few quick internet searches.
Judaism ranked around #12 depending on the web page I found.
The poll doesn't allow enough choices to put every religion in there.
I think in the area that I live, Judaism would rank more around 3 to 5. But this is the world wide web, so I used ranks for the world.
I would choose "Other" if I were Jewish.
You can choose whatever you wish.

I almost put the "I am not participating in this poll (or am I?)" selection, I thought it was kinda funny.:p
Why don't you make it so we can see how people vote? I'm kinda interested to see who voted what.

OH COME ON! NO SERIOUS POLL CAN LEAVE OUT "JEDI"!
this poll is therefore null and void, and you don't need to see his identification. these are not the droids you are looking for.

I thought some people might not want to advertise their choice, so I chose the "hide" option when I started the poll.
I don't think there's any going back now.

you know why they call it hell?
because if such a place exists it will be filled with all the people of other religions and people who don't care about all the 'heaven and hell' propaganda, and it will be a happening place nothing like what they have tried so desperately to convince people it will be like. it will be a cool and fun place filled with awesome people.
therefore, it will be THEIR hell!!! a place where they are eternally shamed for being so stupid, and the rest of us laugh are asses off at them while drinking a beer and having a great old time.
one big eternal "i told you so, now sit in the corner dumbass".

In non-Buddhist nations, we have lots of "Buddhists wannabes." They know a few things about Buddhism, but don't practice, and would not want the Buddhist rituals for their marriage or death or anything else.
And that's just fine.

Discordianism
You scored 30 Angst, 55 Weirdness, and 57 Freedom!
Hail Eris! Hail Hail Hail! Hail yes!
Founded in the late 1950s, Discordianism is based around the worship (in the oddest sense of the term) of Eris, the Greek goddess of discord and chaos. Members practice a bizarre mixture of postmodernism, anarchy, absurdism, and Zen Buddhism.
While many would say that Discordianism is a joke masquerading as a religion, many Discordians would tell you it's a religion disguised as a joke. Or a religion disguised as a joke disguised as a religion. Others will just offer you a hot dog.

COMPARED TO OTHER TAKERS
30/100You scored 30% on Angst, higher than 30% of your peers.
89/100You scored 55% on Weirdness, higher than 89% of your peers.
55/100You scored 57% on Freedom, higher than 55% of your peers.

What makes the poll stupid?
Unless you give your reasoning, your statement is as meaningless to us as saying "I like turtles."

In what should be a poll to find out what the unicycling population has beliefs in, it's turned into one of the other 25 threads that are debating how a religion is defined.
Also, since it's the internet and it involves religion, it already has a good chance that it's a failure. No explanation needed for that.
There's also still issues with the polls inclusions/exclusions and grouping.
Additionally, you may not know this, but there's obviously a large amount of followers of Judaism on this forum, and just because it's not scale worthy when following a list of the global population, you should consider that the forum has a large amount of followers (with it being an English language forum), therefore, it's silly to exclude Judaism over things like Hinduism, Buddhism, and Islam.
The Secular/Nonreligious/Agnostic option doesn't fit as an option either because they're all completely different so it doesn't make sense to have them under the same polling option.
Lets use your own reasoning in which you said the goal was to "choose the "best" answer."
So, for example, if the poll was:
Which of the following best describes you pet?
1. Bird
2. Cat/Dog/Flort
3. Other
4. I don't want to participate
If this was a census, say 100 people had birds, 2000 had option #2. (#3 is broad because so many are left out and #4 contradicts itself.)
You still wouldn't have a good idea because maybe 1500 would own dogs and 400 cats, and (off topic) what the hell is a flort?
The point is that they're so different that it makes no sense to keep them under 1 grouping of people.
Internet and religion just don't mix well unless you're trying to discuss things like meaning, existence, history, etc., which isn't the aim of this thread.
My opinions.

I agree. Granted there would still be an uproar that I didn't include Hinduism (etc) even though the uproar would most likely be coming from non-Hindu.
I figured the population of the forms probably didn't match the global percentages, but it seemed like a good place to start.
The Secular/Nonreligious/Agnostic option doesn't fit as an option either because they're all completely different so it doesn't make sense to have them under the same polling option.
I know what you mean. Ideally every possible religious position would have their own choice. But with limited choices, eventually you need to combine some, by using "Other"... or some other combination choice. I thought Secular/Nonreligious/Agnostic was a pretty good grouping. I took that grouping from one of the groupings on a website showing global percentages.
