oh nice mark, well we'll have to get in touch some time, you got shelter yet or you getting motel or something, and no not sure how much, under $500 for return flight if you book early, but depending on where you stay over there, varies

Hoping to go, not sure at this stage though. I should be able to get the money just mainly a matter of parents. I said I know many riders that are going and I could stay with them but parents don't know them and they would prefer my older bro or one of them go with me so we shall see.:)

Im thinking ill go now, i should be able to scrape together just enough cash to make it. when are you planning on going? are you guys heading over there a few days before or staying for a few days after or are you just going to get there on the 29th and leave on the 7th?

i wont b getting ther early cause of the christams rush etc. but im aiming for somtime between the 27th and 29th. but after unicon ill b heading down to christchurch so i wont b with u guys on the way back.
as for accomodation i think i might b crashing at whereva chris (unicycledood) is staying. but if we all wana chip in together for a room at the yha or somthing then im happy with that. just might b difficult to get a room so might hav to book very soon if thats wat we decide.

I think you will find the YHA is already fully booked. :( I had a look last night but I could be wrong...

Sort of irrelevent but still relevant nonetheless. SIngapore doesn't have direct flights so some of us going will be transitting via Australia. Are there enough of you guys to get us in on any group discounts too? :D

Don't forget there is X-Base backpackers as well. They are also very close to Unicon venues and similar in price, and are sponsoring Unicon :)

might seem like theres plenty of time but the YHA Central is already booked out and the rest prob wont last long either. and ill b ther for 12 nights and id like to get some proper sleep, and not sleep in a car or garage

At the 2008 NZuniweekend, we stayed at this place:

The rooms are minimal, there's pubic hair clogging up the shower holes etc.
But they're REALLY cheap. It cost us about $16 per night, we bought our sleeping bags cause there's no bedding. But it was really cheap, chances are we'll be going there again for UNICON. It's about a 10 min walk from Te Papa and the skate park, right in town.
