I can hop more than a foot vertically seat in now. When should I move to SIF for high hops? Should I wait until I can hop higher seat in, or start SIF right now?

how long have you been riding? start hopping SIF right away.

I've been able to ride since August 2007, but only started getting serious this January.

Thanks for the advice! My next ride will definitely include SIF hopping the whole time!:D

yeah just practice jumping SIF up those blocks you have

Those blocks are really unstable, I made the bottom to small. They tip over if I land a little bit off centre. I think I'll make new ones that are bigger with some scrap 2 by 4's I have lying around...

I really want to come to a VanUni meeting sometime soon! My grandma lives in Vancouver, but I haven't visited her since I found out about VanUni. I'm sick of riding by myself...
