If Jesus was born in the Southern Hemisphere, would Christmas be in June?Everyone knows that Jesus was born on December 25, 0000 on the Christian calendar. June? That doesn't make any sense at all. :)

WOOOO, I have the exact same sword, I wasn't sure at first but I checked it out and the designs and size of it match mine, I picked it up in Detroit at Autorama I think in 2006, I used it to beat up on the snow and ice last year I think it was and really messed it up

Happy Day-Of-Blatant-Consumerism Everyone!;)Didn't you mean "Day off from blatant consumerism?" All the stores are finally closed on Christmas. The blatant consumerism has been going on for months, only reaching a crescendo in the past few days... :)

Maybe they close in cow town, but on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan they are open for business! The tourists are shopping!

Nope. The only thing that would change is that Santa Claus would be like this one

Nope. The only thing that would change is that Santa Claus would be like this oneAnd our very wintery Christmas music --
(edit - these are from ten Christmas songs...)
I'm dreaming of a white Christmas...
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow...
Frosty the snowman...
Dashing through the snow, on a one-horse open sleigh...
I'll be home for Christmas
You can count on me
Please have snow and mistletoe
And presents under the tree
Sleigh bells ring, are you listening,
In the lane, snow is glistening
A beautiful sight,
We're happy tonight.
Walking in a winter wonderland
Giddy yup, giddy yup, giddy yup,
Let's go, Let's look at the show,
We're riding in a wonderland of snow.
Giddy yup, giddy yup, gidd yup,
It's grand, Just holding your hand,
We're gliding along with a song
Of a wintry fairy land
Chestnuts roasting on an open fire,
Jack Frost nipping on your nose,
Yuletide carols being sung by a choir,
And folks dressed up like Eskimos.
There'll be parties for hosting
Marshmallows for toasting
And caroling out in the snow
Hear the snow crunch
See the kids bunch
This is Santa's big scene
At least here in the Northern Hemisphere, Christmas seems to be intimately tied to winter. In fact, just now I'm having a Currier & Ives (http://currierandives.net/WinterMorningInTheCountry/) moment in my mind.
Are all these wintery songs popular in other parts of the world?

Hm, at least, in my house we don't sing any Xmas songs... We just have dinner and give the presents.
I didn't even know these songs you posted!
The only song I really know is one that is not a really Xmas song hahah it's more like a parody about that "Jingle Bell" song!
And I know some because of my english course... We had to learn some Xmas songs because we had a class that was about "american culture". But I forgot them all... Hahaha!
