i finaly have enough money to buy the Nimbus 20-inch Trials Cycle with ISIS hub ( http://www.unicycle.com/shopping/shopexd.asp?id=1048 ) and now when i think of it, maybe i should wait untill i know a few more tricks to buy it. so my question is:
when do i know i need to get a new uni?

This sounds silly but I'm being serious - When the hub bends out of shape, When you have to replace your cranks more than twice a month, or you burst your innertubes once a week!
but it's also just personal opinion, if you want a good unicycle just go for it!

i didn't mean it like that. i meant to ask if i should stick to this uni untill i'll be better at unicycling or just buy what i want

Well, think of it this way...buying a higher-end uni won't hinder your learning at all, but buying a cheap beginner uni will hinder your progression.

i don't really get why the isis hub/axle/crank is better than the normal hub/axle/crank

...and posting unicycling threads in "Just Conversation" will hinder your communication.

Please, post unicycling threads in Rec.Sport.Unicycling (http://www.unicyclist.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=3), and don't bump unicycling threads in Just Conversation.

Thanks!

Meh, it was a simple question, so I figured a couple decent answers would be sufficient for him.

The ISIS hub and crank set is much stronger than the normal square taper. Square taper hub and crank sets will break easily, whereas you have to be pretty hard on your uni to break the ISIS set.

Go for ISIS, it will last you so much longer it's worth every penny compared to square taper!

yeah, square tapered hubs are incredibly weak. I started on one and within four months I had already bent the hub. Anyway if you want to upgrade, I say go for it. As stated before, an upgrade won't hinder your progression so really you got nothing to lose.

yes they are extremely strong, but you can fit them to an ISIS hub, and they are ISIS cranks.
