Well not dump, but at our local transfer station we have a "recycling shed" If you want to get rid of it and think some one else can use it, stick it in the recycling shed. So what did I find yesterday? I don't know why I had to grab it, but here it is.

I posted over on the "Bike Forum" where I hang out and was directed here. OF COURSE there is a unicycle forum, how could I have been so dumb?

Pretty nice, radial spokes, flat crown, long neck frame and rail type seat post.

Could maybe do with a lick of paint ;)

That, and a seat that doesn't leave the user sterile.

Im a bit stupid, but I wouldn't want to ride that for too long, it looks a bit uncomfortable to say the least!

Lol, that uni was state-of-the-art when I was a kid! haha not really, but I owned a 20" & a 24" schwinn with those ancient cottered cranks. I always thought the "blade" forks were really cool, and I always kept the chrome waxed and shiny! Only problem was the wax would get caked in the little grooves on each side of the frame, and turn all white and flaky when it dried.:p

the cranks on that uni aren't even cottered, they are 1 peice, my dad said he always had to weld his back together.

Man, that one is SO much nicer tan the one I found at the dump... Duct taped seat, and way too small for me... Ended up giving it to a friend to turn into an ultimate wheel ;) G' luck with it!

The full name on the sticker is (was) Rutledge. I have one like it, only in better shape. Similar to the Hedstrom brand, which was sold in lots of department stores.

Tricycle technology. The strength of a tricycle, with many common parts, including the one-piece crank with bearingless pedals, usually held on by snap-rings. And bearingless bearings (nylon bushings). The seat indeed seems to be made of some hard material. I'm not sure which seat goes with my Rutledge as it's hanging up there without the post or seat. One of my "crap-unicycle" seats is an oval metal base with some thin plastic over it. Even the Schwinn seats weren't that comfortable, but at least they had a big piece of foam between the steel base and the vinyl/plastic cover...

My little sister found a 20 inch juggle bug in a dumpster and gave it to me for Christmas.

Unicycles are like sex & beer: they're better when they're free. Unlike sex & beer, they're at their best when they include "splined" and "titanium alloy" in the description :D

So I gave her away. I would never get my fat arse on it and my kids showed no interest, but, an 11 year buddy of my son was all over it. I told him he could have it. Another one over to the dark side.

Well i found a rusted 12" unicycle at the tip yesterday. The only problem was (apart from the rust) that it was missing 1 crank. :p

I'm so proud that their were no other unicyclists around who would see the opportunity to snatch it b4 i did. ;)

You guys are lucky. Every time I take a dump, I can never find it. :(

I went to the tip the other day and got a tiny bike, took the cranks off and de-rusted the frame, it'll look sweet once I'm finished!
