So they are doing these classes now for your senior year? Thats seems weird. most schools I know do the typing lessons in middle school, then its optional to take the class in highschool. Most people who do take it just for an easy A.

so im taking it now because i finally have space in my schedule and you have to have the class to graduate

i could have taken a test to get out of the class but it was always on a day that i was busy or i didn't hear about it in time to sign up for it

Dvorak is a better, faster layout, so just switch your setting and your good to go. Just cause something is the normal setting, doesn't mean its right. Specially on a computer.
