Someone needs to carry a small container of his ashes to the other 50 and sprinkle some at each location. I'll do it if y'all help with the financing.

Also, is his passing early within the context of his writing, technically speaking, irony? I don't think so, but would appreciate it if a Brit would make a final ruling.

The word "ironic" would often be used to describe the situation, but it would not be technically correct. The word is abused in much the same way as "tragic".

I was hoping you in particular would chime in. Yes, the overuse of "ironic", ironic in itself, is decidedly tragic.
