Hello,
I'm just learning to ride, but the man who sold me my first used uni kept
talking about the unicycle basketball team he played on. In several recent
posting I've heard mention of unicycle hocky. Has this sport replaced
unicycle basketball. Or are there any known teams out there?
Just curious.
Until then . . .

I've been offered a giraffe unicycle called a SOLO. I realize it isn't the
greatest item on the market, but I really want to hear from ANY giraffe riders
out there who could advise me. Is it worth it? What size wheel should I look
for? Any component issues to look (out) for?
I really would appreciate hearing from you on this. I feel like I'm in the dark
at the moment.

It would help if you mentioned who that man was, or even where you live, to give
a specific answer. More generally, unicycle basketball is alive and well, in the
places where it's played. The main difference, I think, between it and unicycle
hockey is that there seem to be more hockey players who have computers and
internet connections!
