i found this foreign band called Metallica. You might like to reconsider your use of foreign on an international forum.

But seriously, Tyr from the Pharoe Islands are awesome. Viking/pagan metal sung in pharoese and street Danish (and a bit of English)

You should take a listen to some of the Finnish Folk Metal bands, Korpiklaani (http://www.metal-archives.com/band.php?id=17431) and Finntroll (http://www.metal-archives.com/band.php?id=95)

You're American not English, hence if you come to England you are the foreigner, hence Metallica is a foreign band to the English.

I quite like Stabbing Westward, and Fear Factory.

Hahahah the Pillows are totally not metal although rock most def.

Check out Silver Ash for some Chinese hard rock goodness, relatively underground compared to a lot of the Jrock stuff.

I've got a list of Jrock bands a mile long but its all pretty old bands so you could probably do better just doing a youtube search for jrock.

Usually when I want to find more bands of a certain type I just youtube it or check out that band's friends on myspace.

that's what i do too. i have found a lot of bands that way. a lot of jrock bands i find are hair metal bands or something. i can't stand hair metal. it's hard to find "american style" jrock bands for me for some reason.
