Yeah I know. I could do so many other things with $150(like get a carbon fiber seat).

Are we talking a windshield, a side window, or a lift-gate window?

The side windows are easily replaceable with common hand tools.

The lift-gate window is a little tougher to replace, but can be done.

Leave the windshield to the professionals.

Find a junk yard that has a similar model S10 and get your window cheaply, to start!

I've pretty much got it down now. All I have to do now is remove the C-clip from the window crank and pull it off. Hopefully from their it won't be to hard to put the window back in place. Oh and it is indeed a side window, which slipped down into the inside of the door.

My T-ruck is falling a part.:(

By the time I got rid of my '89 S-10 (264k miles on it) it a broken cruise, no catalytic converter (fell off), an exhaust system that would occasionally fall from the front and poll vault the truck (didn't work well either), no parking brake (had to hacksaw the lines), no first gear, a starter that worked about 1/5 of the time, huge rust holes all over the frame, and the gas tank was held on with two ratchet straps.

My antifreeze is leaking, my oil is leaking, my brakes were leaking(fixed), one of my seatbelts doesn't work, my window is about to be fixed(I hope), my tape player doesn't work, and no air condtioning.

I was under the impression that your window was broken. It now seems that your window regulator is broken. Which is it?

If it's the regulator, they're not always user-servicable. They're made quite cheaply, such that it doesn't take much to break them, and the only repair possibilities are 1) to replace the regulator or 2) permanently close the window. Stupid plastic gears!

Also, the regulators are often riveted onto the door. You'll need to drill out the rivet head to remove it... you can use some nuts and bolts to affix the new regulator, though.

I've found regulators on eBay for quite cheap... if the junkyard doesn't work out for you.

Go to an autoparts store and find a Haynes manual for your truck. It'll tell you how to A) Take the truck apart and B) put it back together. :)
