Who's watching the Tour at the moment?

Looks like it will be an interesting race...and hopefully the fairest....last years was a bit of a joke with someone winning a stage/leading one minute, and being kicked off the tour the next.

I'm hoping Cadel takes it this year.

I saw him win his first ever mountainbike world cup race in 1997 in Wellington, NZ when he was a mountainbiker. Incidentally...the same course (or very similar) that would be used for the MUni at UNICON XV :p (shameless plug).

But anyway....

Go Cadel Go!

Go Cadel Go!

Sure, me too! Yeah, I take my dose of the tour everyday @ http://www.cyclingnews.com/ Reading it live is super exciting - best when it's LIVE COVERAGE ON NOW but sometimes I take it 'as LIVE' in the evening. Started reading it when Lance was at his 5th. Now, I tend to scan the bulk of these flat stages and then read carefully the last 50 k or so. When they're in the mts. I read all.

I've rebounded from the horror of the Floyd affair. It was a struggle though.

Go Cadel Go!!

Tour burnout/disinterest for me this year.

We just go back from Belgium, found out stage 2 of last year's race (http://www.bikely.com/maps/bike-path/Tour-de-France-2007-Stage-2-Dunkirk-to-Gent)went right by my wife's uncle's place just North or Ieper. Should have been there last year! Looking at the map we actualy drove about 1/3 of the route in our travels.

Now back to watching the end of each stage live on TV in the morning.

Yeah, I think if anyones clean it would be Cadel.

It's great here in Australia...they show it live on SBS, but have to stay up late.

Check out their website

Also Velonews.com is quite good.

I'm watching it. I'm taking for valverde since he started racing on the tour de france but I guess this race isn't his. He always has something wrong each years... :(

Cadel Evens is my third favourite for this year, and it seems he's in good position right now but Frank Shleck (my 2nd favourite) is only 1 second behind!

What is with the French breaks? every day I hear about how 3 or 4 frenchmen are in a break away...

1st their in their country.
2nd for their sponsors
3rd for a chance to win a stage
4th if they win they get money
5th for glory
etc.

I'm somewhat interested in the tour, but when actually watching it (except for the very end of each stage) I tend to doze off.

Cadel's still got a shot. 1:34 with two tour days and then the TT.

I want CSC to win.. my favourite is Kurt Asle Arvesen.. simply because i cant stand all the attention Tor Hushovd gets, and in reality he doesn't do a shit, he just gets 5 people to help him to the end and then do a sprint.. he has won one track this year, that has Kurt Asle also and he's a helper.. :p

I havn't seen all that much of the tour this year. I heard about ricardo rico though. It's a shame that people still take drugs.
